Last week, we saw the beginning of a red wave that wasn’t just in Virginia and New Jersey. Voters across Harris County, the state of Texas, and the nation turned out to the polls to reject divisive ideology in our classrooms and give parents a voice in our children’s education and future.
Congratulations to the candidates in Harris County who stepped up to throw their hat in the ring and the volunteers who worked hard to get out the vote in these local elections. Five of the candidates we endorsed won their School Board races, including three Republican Cy-Fair ISD candidates who unseated Democrat incumbents!
Three of our Harris County GOP-endorsed HISD candidates will go on to runoffs on December 11. We’re going to need all hands on deck as we push back against their Democrat opponents who are well-funded by special interest groups and ready to build a robust ground game in the next few weeks. There are two things you can do in these runoffs:
- Stay tuned for upcoming opportunities to help out these conservative candidates – we’ll send details on how to get involved with knocking on doors and phone banking.
- Tell your friends, family, and neighbors that live in HISD District 5, 6, or 7 to come out and vote again during Early Voting, November 29 – December 7, or on Election Day, December 11. Our children’s future depends on it.
We also want to invite you to attend our judicial signing event on November 14 and bring a friend or two! Our judges need signatures from registered voters to secure their place on the ballot. Please RSVP and plan to come out and help us fill the ballot with conservative judges while you mix and mingle.
Thank you, as always, for all you do. I look forward to seeing you soon at an upcoming event!
Warm Regards,
Cindy Siegel
