HCRP Grassroots Campaign Kickoff
a Huge Success!

278 Precincts Adopted by Precinct Leaders

July 21, 2008 HCRP Executive Committee

Immediately following the election for Harris County Probate Court Number 1 on Monday evening, we held our HCRP Grassroots Campaign kickoff event downtown at the Jury Assembly Room. The Republican precinct chairmen in attendance, who are integral to the 2008 campaign, were given an overview of our 2008 grassroots campaign and then asked for a pledge to participate as the Precinct Leader. 278 Precinct Chairmen signed pledges on Monday night and were given a Grassroots Campaign packet that included the tools necessary to kick off the campaign in their individual precincts. As we roll out each phase of the campaign, our Precinct Leaders will receive additional materials applicable to that phase. Our Precinct Leaders will also receive constant communication from the HCRP about the progress of the campaign in the form of e-mail news flashes, instructional guides and periodic conference calls with HCRP leadership and elected officials.

While we have many precincts filled with Precinct Leaders, we still have a need for more Precinct Leaders, Block Captains and Field Lieutenants; so I urge you to become involved with our Grassroots Campaign. Please click here now to volunteer in your area.

This program will be our most ambitious grassroots campaign in HCRP history and I am confident that it, along with our many other programs, will propel our Republican ticket to victory in November!

Finally, our many aggressive programs are not without cost, so I ask you to please consider making a contribution, no matter how small or large to help ensure our continued Republican strength here in Harris County. The Democrats are digging deep to challenge us, so I urge you to show them that Republicans care just as much about our candidates. Please click here now to download a contribution form.

Let’s make 2008 a great year for Republicans. Get involved today!

Sincerely,

Jared Woodfill
