In Memory of Judge Russell Austin

 Judge Russell Austin

 February 24, 1943 - June 23, 2008

Harris County this week is grieving the loss of Judge Russell Austin, who passed away on Monday following the major stroke he suffered on Saturday.

Russell Austin served as Judge of Harris County Probate Court Number 1 for the last 14 years and was not only a great Judge and legal scholar, but also a man with a great zest for life.  Judge Austin’s infectious smile and trademark New England accent will be greatly missed at the Harris County courthouse.

Memorial Services for Judge Austin will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 28th at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church located at 6221 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77030.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the University of Houston Law Foundation in support of the U of H Legal Aid Clinic, 100 Law Center, Houston, Texas 77204-6060.

On behalf of all Harris County Republicans, I offer our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Judge Russell Austin.  Please keep them in your prayers as we all grieve the loss of our friend and fellow Republican.
